Fungus Journal entry
Calycina Citrina, commonly know as yellow fairy cup is a species of fungus in the family of Helotiaceae, it forms in dense clusters on decaying wood. This fungus is a saprobic, meaning that it obtains nutrients by breaking down complex organic molecules into simpler ones. Its name was given because of its bright colour resembling that of a lemon (citrus).
