I found something similar in Queensland, Australia, and it proved to be the egg mass of a snail, Physa acuta, introduced into Australia from Asia..

No, this seems very different, and the crown on each egg looks like some Heteropteran eggs I have seen around. Did you look at picture 2? Picture 2 is the one to look at.
The drop is a water/dew droplet I think and not part of the egg mass.
Yes it is also one of my most favorite observations. My big question is: why this shape/form? Are there similar organism who are doing the same procedure? Are there explanations or hypothesis for this?
