AZNPS BioBlitz at Tempe's Papago Park Preserve

This morning BioBlitz is organized by the Arizona Native Plant Society, Phoenix Chapter, in coordination with the City of Tempe Parks Services. If you are registered for this BioBlitz, please join this project to help ensure that your observations are included.

Participants will be placed into different groups based on area of expertise or interest to help us document as many wildlife species as possible within Papago Park Preserve. Most groups will make observations between 8am and 11am, but this project will also capture additional observations that are made immediately before or after the formal BioBlitz.

Since this is a photo BioBlitz, all plants and animals must be photographed “in situ.” This means wildlife must not be picked, handled, or collected.

To add your observations to this project, please post clear photos of any wildlife seen within the area on Sunday, April 28, 2019. Ensure that the location where you saw an organism is pinpointed correctly. If you do not know the name of the species, please label your observation with a basic category, such as “plants,” “animals,” "insects," or “fungi.” Other iNaturalist users will then help to identify your observation.

When uploading your observation, choose for it to be included in the AZNPS BioBlitz at Tempe's Papago Park Preserve project. If known, it is also helpful to include the name of the trail or area where your sighting occurred (ex. Lizard Trail or northern area of Papago Preserve).
