Thank you to everyone who participated in our BioBlitz!

Thus far, 17 people have uploaded some or all of their observations. Through these 500+ observations, we have documented over 135 different wildlife species! This number will likely continue to grow as more participants upload their observations and other iNaturalist users help to identify what we saw.

If you have not uploaded your observations yet, please do so by this weekend so that we can capture the full results of the BioBlitz.

Also, don't forget to keep watch of the identifications that are made to the observations that you uploaded. Doing so is an excellent way to learn more about what you saw and improve your own identification skills.

Our BioBlitz is beginning soon! Thank you to all of you who have already joined our project. This will help ensure that your observations are included in the BioBlitz. Some of you also appear to be new iNaturalist users, so I'd like to welcome you to the iNaturalist community!

You may begin to see observations roll into this project soon after 6 AM as our early morning birding group heads out into the park. Also, any observations made by visitors to Tempe's Papago Park Preserve on Sunday morning could also be included in this project.

Lastly, a reminder to fully charge your smartphone/camera/tablet (and free up storage space, if needed) so that you'll be able to capture all of the photo observations that you want to make.
