If you have a project for your own yard, please consider joining our Backyards and Beyond Initiative. Simply let us know the name of your project and we will add it to this umbrella project. This will allow FWC and others to see what sort of life your yard harbors.

Awesome! This is great to hear. It's easy to create a project for your yard. If you do this, please let me know so I can add it to our Backyards of Florida umbrella project. yes thank you, I would like my own project for my 5 acre Midway woods/yard. I tried to create one under BofFL but it didn't allow me. I got frustrated and quit. There's about 200 plant species documented so far plus bugs and birds. I can wait until things are set up and I understand the process better. So there is not a Backyards of Gadsden county I can nest under?

We don't have a project for Gadsden County created yet. We are planning to have all counties in Florida represented by projects but Leon County is our pilot project until spring of 2019.
guess I go with Midway Fields and Woods since I'm on Fields Rd in Midway. Thanks for the background on the bigger project. If bird observations require a photo, there's a lot I only hear but I added the list I keep for a backyard bird race on another website.
Perfect. I'll add the project to our larger umbrella project. And remember...you can always add sounds to iNaturalist too!
well a few days later.... I guess the way I'm doing this, place-based with multiple observations per species makes me, as iNat said, a Collection Project. Is this OK?
recording sounds - lol. it's a bird chorus at any moment I step out the door or open a window. I'm trying tho...

@swcopeland You can just make your project a traditional project. If you've already created it as a collection project, though, that works too. Sorry that I'm just now seeing this.
