In the 7 months since the start of the CA Fire Followers project, volunteers have made ~56K observations! Need assistance identifying your observations or just want to help identify? We’re here to help! Join us on Thursday, October 28 at 6 PM PDT – 7 PM PDT to help us reach our goal and get as many observations to RG as possible. Anyone who is interested in collaborating with others to try to work through the identifications made so far are invited to attend!
With Halloween approaching, join us for a happy hour focused on Fire Followers Identifications! Our panelists will be here to help with any ID questions and we will work together to help identify any observation you might have. In addition to this social hour of ID’ing, we will also have breakout rooms focused on different plant families and an opportunity for everyone to ask questions in smaller groups.
We encourage anyone to come join us! This online event is open to identifiers of all experience levels. Remember, even if you do not know the species, you can help by suggesting an ID at any level (family, genus, etc.) or bringing observations to be identified during this event, including your own! In addition to all the fun that comes with plant IDs, we will be playing some Halloween-themed music and encourage people to dress up and have fun with it! We will also have some live raffles throughout this event and give everyone participating a chance to win some Fire Followers merch!

Thank you for doing this! The more I try to ID plants the more I learn that I probably shouldn't, but I greatly appreciate you all and your intense plant knowledge.
Hey @dlevitis! I feel the same but I'm hoping to learn a bit more little by little. I'm going to be bringing a list of my own observations to see if anyone in the group can help identify. Should be a really fun and engaging event, hope to see you there!
