Final day to make observations!

Hello all,
Friendly reminder that today is the final day to make observations for this year's Great Southern Bioblitz (GSBB). You can upload all observations made between the 22nd-25th of October until the 27th.

If you are interested in the GSBB project as a whole, check out the GSBB Umbrella Project. This contains all observations made as part of the event, and all smaller projects.

So far, we have over 300 observations. Let's see if we can get it to 500!

Less than 1 day left until the Great Southern Bioblitz 2021!

The Great Southern Bioblitz starts tomorrow. Hopefully you've got your walking boots on!
I can't wait to see how we capture some of the biodiversity that Dharawal country (Wollongong) and surrounds have to offer.

Where are you planning to observe? A local beach, reserve, or even your own backyard?

I'm planning to visit the Wodi Wodi Track, and to walk through the Blackbutt Forest Reserve. I'm keeping an eye out for fungi springing up thanks to all the rain.

Below are some examples of wonderful posts made by contributors in our region recently:

Eastern Great Egret (Ardea alba ssp. modesta), @the_lovebird

Stathmopoda auriferella, @jeannie_bartram

Australian Water Dragon (Intellagama lesueuri), @lukequinane

Lysimachia arvensis var. arvensis, @gerritvandenbergh

It would be great if any of these naturalists would like to join us observing this weekend :)
