My son and I should be heading out within two hours to do the north side... i'm fearing the rain from the last two hours will increase the fresh sightings recorded.

we went out this am, while the concentration of newts near the quarry road seemed greater, i think there were less overall. i will count and post tonight. it was more difficult with the rain as my paper map and tally sheet was worthless and my phone was really buggy all wet.
@joescience1, I really hope that we didn't do the same stretch of road yesterday. You were on the calendar as doing the south half, I was on for the north half, and did it in the afternoon.
yes, looks like we did... i thought i was for the northern section, as that was what i did before. i also cleared many of the obvious ones from the road, as i hate seeing them there.
