Vote for the August Photo-observation of the Month

The spring ephemerals are long gone, but for the curious observer there is still plenty of interesting plant life to record for iNaturalist Vermont, a project of the Vermont Atlas of Life. Whether it's a late blossom, interesting foliage or seeds or fruit for future years - you can still get out and enjoy green plants. To celebrate our wonderful plants and your observations, Sue Elliot, July's winner, chose 6 wonderful photo-observations from August for all of us to select the grand prize August winner. Please comment indicating the number of your favorite shot.

Mobile App Update

iNaturalist has informed everyone that an updated version of the Android app went online tonight. It has a few bug fixes and various improvements - the most noticeable is a new interface for editing the observation location
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.inaturalist.android

As many of you have may have noticed, the iPhone app has numerous issues running
on the new iOS 8. So if you updated your iPhone, the app isn't working properly now. The good news is there's an update in review at the app store (usually takes about a week to get approved) that fixes many of the problems. The bad news is looks like we didn't catch all the bugs -- the GPS is still not working with no wifi. We're trying to get
a version with all the bugs fixed built and approved as soon as possible. Thanks for bearing with us.
