My interest in nature goes way back to childhood. My family camped, we went fishing, we traveled, I was active in Girl Scouts. I ended up with a degree in Geosciences that took me to the oilfields of Wyoming, North and South Dakota and Montana. From there, I moved to CA to teach science; that lasted about 30 years and I've now retired. I am a docent at Whitewater Preserve, and volunteer with FRVC.
