Spider and her egg sac were found on the ventral surface of a rose leaf approximately 1.5 m above the ground. Spider approximately 4 mm long. Unfortunately the leaf was picked before the spider was noticed. The leaf with the female and her egg sac was kept for 2 days for observation before being released. All this time the spider tended to her egg sac. A species of the genus Leucauge?
(I think - juvenile but this is the common Tetragnatha in our garden)

These spiders live in tube webs buried in soft, mostly dry sand. In some places there was one web visible on the surface, in other places there were around 15 webs of different sizes clustered within 40cmx40cm
