Visit to Chestnut Hill Reservoir

I went for a walk around the reservoir today and saw some interesting organisms around the area. The sky was mostly clear at the time (the sun was beginning to set) and the temperature outside was a breezy 69° F. During my stroll, I discovered several types of plants growing on the outskirts of the trail and saw several ducks and swans in the water. Funnily enough, I found some poisonous, purple berries growing in a few bushes around the reservoir and was fascinated by their color. Not to mention, it was entertaining watching the ducks and swans looking for food in the reservoir and waddling on the little areas of land to rest.

I saw a swan swimming it’s way through the reservoir. There were quite a few of them and they would occasionally go onto pockets of land in the water to rest.
