Mammal Print

Date: September 18, 2017
Location: Near Mammoth Creek by Brian Head, Utah
Directions: Head East out of Cedar City, Utah up highway 14. Travel up the canyon about 17 miles and turn left towards Cedar Breaks. Travel until fork and turn left heading perpendicular to Brian Head. Head a few more miles down the road.
Habitat: The terrain was in the middle of a burn area from the Brian Head fire. The area was treated prior to the fire so the underbrush is minor. There was an intermediate spring shown in the area. It was surrounded by pine trees and quakies. The ground was muddy.
Observers: Jamie Smith, Lyndsay Rodriguez, Mariah Porter
Time of Day: 4:30pm
Amount of Time: 5 minutes
Wind: 1 on Beaufort scale
Temperature: 55 degrees Fahrenheit
Sky Condition: Partly Cloudy
Elevation: 9,000 feet

Comments: I am uncertain of who this print belongs to. If I had to guess, it would be a mule deer or cattle. I didn't scat really close, just many of these prints in the mud.
