A Walk Around the Reservoir

This past Sunday, I was excited to go on my first nature walk with two of my roommates around the lovely reservoir right next to our campus! As we walked around, I managed to find many interesting organisms as I avoided joggers to take these photos. I thought I found what looked like a Japanese Maple tree, but was pretty sure it would not be native to the area and this tree looks wild. iNaturalist was struggling to name it as well, so I am curious to see if it can be IDed. We also saw what I believed to be a hawk fly overhead, but was unable to photograph it. The weather was starting to heat up as we wrapped around the reservoir, so I was happy that our 30 minute walk was over. Overall, it was a beautiful afternoon with friends and iNaturalist!

This journal has 5 or more pictures. The first picture was taken at 4:20 pm and the last picture was taken at 4:50 pm so this nature walk met the time requirement. There was no theme for this week so that requirement was met and the journal entry was altogether interesting and energetic. 10/10.
