A Trip to Houghton Garden

I walked over to Houghton Garden from campus and was surprised how little time it took! How did I not know this little garden was here? When I was almost there, I saw some wild turkeys and was happy I was able to take a photo. The area itself was lovely and quiet besides the occasional sound of the T rushing by. There were some beautiful wild flowers next to stone benches to sit on. I was almost nervous to walk on the wood and stone bridges that crossed the water, but when I safely crossed I had a better view of the algae growing on the water. A lot of the trees were labeled with their classification, which was interesting, but I avoided photographing those since it would take away from the point of iNaturalist. Some of the threes had really cool above ground roots that I had to take a photo of. Overall, it was a beautiful afternoon with lovely weather for a great nature walk.
