Webster Conservation Area

For this nature walk, I went to the Webster Conservation Area to try to find some vertebrate animals. To be honest, I was dreading this walk a bit since it was so cold outside and I knew this week's theme would be more difficult the last few, but I ended up being really glad I was able to get off campus for a while. On my way to the conservation area, I saw a group of turkeys off the side of the road. Once I got to the trails, I headed towards the pond and saw some squirrels and birds along the way. There were a lot more birds than I was able to document since I could only see them when they were flying between trees and when they were sitting still, they blended into the trees too much to get a good photo. When I got to the pond, there was a group of mallards and two swans. Overall, it was a very pretty walk. The weather was cold and slightly breezy and it even started snowing a little towards the end of my walk.
