On a hot day, these two unrelated mammals were sitting together in contact. The first two photos show that, then the two animals moved slightly apart. Observed and photographed by Wildlife Guide Hayley Forster. The tree is a Melaleuca armillaris. Observation duplicated for Koala.

On a hot day, these two unrelated mammals were sitting together in contact. Later they moved apart slightly. Observed and photographed by Wildlife Guide Hayley Forster. The koala is mature female. The tree is a Melaleuca armillaris. Observation duplicated for Ringtail.

Surprising sighting of single bird on small 'tank' in otherwise dry Mungo National Park. Appeared perfectly healthy. It's important to appreciate that the nearby lakes shown on the Google map are permanently dry.
