Dense abundance of shells of varying ages in beach sediment along Lago Sarmiento, near active cyanobacterial thrombolites. Shells gathered from within 1 sq ft. Assuming only one species is present. I did not locate the live snails from the shore. Flash used in 2nd picture, and friend's cell phone shown for scale.
