On Back40 Bottom, below fence at midden level. Working on Garlic Mustard. Some seemed much pinker, but I think the leaves may be consistent with virginica.

Added one more new photo on 4/16. Added two more photos of the same two plants on 4/10. After two suggestions that this may be jewelweed, I revisited the spot on 4/10 (three days later). I now am seeing that set of leaves which was lower and finally see something more familiar.

Sadly - I believe that this individual was killed by our mower (while operated by me at very low velocity). This was in the South West field near the mailbox. It pains me greatly to have lost such a beautiful little creature.
I believe there are many more of its cousins remaining in and near that field. I think it had been at least two years since we last mowed that field in an effort to promote native plants, insects, etc. We also had been seeing an Am. Kestrel hunting routinely at and near this field (~1 or 2 acres).
AI suggested three different vole species as most likely. I suspect “meadow vole” (m. Penn?)
