I (she/her) am an enthusiastic amateur naturalist, commercial and wildlife photographer (specializing in macro photography) and life-long birder with decades of experience watching and listening to birds and observing nature. I have a good general knowledge of insects, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and plants.

My husband and I work as a team and we enjoy getting out and exploring nature as much as possible to observe and document birds, butterflies, moths, dragonflies, damselflies, robber flies, flower flies, tiger beetles, Hemiptera, Hymenoptera, and any other insects and plants we might find. We are currently working on adding observations and new species records to the GSMNP ATBI and are members of GRISLD (Gang of Retirees/Researchers In Search of Life's Diversity) and registered volunteer citizen scientists for GSMNP.
