The Big Six Oh Oh!

Last month (May) was amazing with 253 observations by just five observers. Our project began on March 6th of 2017. Since then, 1360 observations have been submitted by 22 project members. Our most active month in terms of participants thus far was January of this year, with twelve observers submitting to the project. This morning we got our 600th species!

I have enjoyed seeing each and every observation submitted to this project. The quality of the documentation has greatly improved as we seek out harder to identify species. A shout out to Giselle for her mention of a microscope app for her iPad. I found a nice one for Android, which has made on-the-fly higher resolution macro shots possible using my smart phone.

If anyone would like to join me for a mini blitz, let me know. I'm game to drop what I'm doing in favor of grabbing my camera and notepad. Perhaps one of these days we could do a bioblitz of some unique habitat. Limiting one's search area seems to only increase one's number of observations. Funny how that works.

Again, thanks to all for your contributions.
Kurt
