Butterflies of Hong Kong 香港蝴蝶

Butterflies play an important role in providing ecosystem services and also adapt very well to global change such as increasing temperature. Hong Kong is situated at subtropical region and has a mixture of tropical and temperate butterfly species which makes it one of the best places to monitor butterfly composition and distribution.

蝴蝶為提供生態服務擔當重要角色而且對全球變化如溫度上升反應十分迅速。香港位於亞熱帶地區，有豐富的熱帶和溫帶物種，可以為監測蝴蝶物種組成和分佈提供重要信息。

Documenting the occurrence records of any stages during butterflies' life cycle could inform us the mechanism of shaping butterfly communities in Hong Kong. You are welcome to contribute any observations of Hong Kong butterflies for science and conservation by joining this project!
