You are invited to help

iNaters in the wider DFW area, beginning the third Saturday in April we will begin our wildflower walks and continue the flora and fauna survey at Mockingbird Nature Park in Midlothian, TX, which adds also to our wider project for Ellis and Navarro counties. If you'd like to help with the flora and fauna survey, please do come and bring your camera to document your observations! Visit our project page on iNaturalist: http://www.inaturalist.org/projects/mockingbird-nature-park to see what we've done so far. Please feel free to join us on our monthly walks or anytime that is convenient for you. Mockingbird Nature Park is 68 acres with over 1.5 miles of trails, a boardwalk through a riparian area and a seasonal pond that is currently holding water pretty well.

Our walks are lead by members of the Indian Trail Chapter of the Master Naturalist program, from Ellis and Navarro counties. Everyone is invited to attend, and there is no charge. In the event of rain the walks will be cancelled.

The first walk is Saturday, April 16. We'll meet at the Butterfly Garden at 9 am. Mockingbird Nature Park is located at 1361 Onward Road (off Mockingbird Lane) Midlothian, TX. The park has no facilities, so come prepared.

Hope to see you there!
