2022 Wrap up

Again, many thanks to all who participated in this year's TradMaD Bioblitz.

Here are our final results:

  • 14 observers recorded 674 observations.
  • 262 of those observations made it to Research Grade (i.e., were verified by at least two Identifiers in the iNat community).
  • 117 species have been identified to the level of Research Grade.
  • We had the support of 96 Identifiers in the iNat Community.
  • Ann Schunior submitted the most observations (240).
  • Chris Jacobs submitted the most number of species (104).
  • Ghost Pipes and Common Bracken were tied for the most observed species, with 9 observations each.

In our first TradMaD Bioblitz in 2019, 14 observers recorded 438 observations, 140 of which made it to Research Grade, and 68 species were identified to the level of Research Grade. So we have significantly expanded our knowledge of the amazing biodiversity of Pinewoods Camp :-)

We are already looking forward to next year's TradMaD Bioblitz, when we hope we can break our 2022 records :-)

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please email me at suzanne@smrozak.com.

Thanks!

Thank you!

Many thanks to everyone who participated in our Pinewoods Camp Project this year. To date, our observers have recorded 631 observations and 221 species have been identified. When we did our first TradMaD Bioblitz in 2019, we recorded 438 observations and 145 species, so we have already significantly expanded our knowledge of the amazing biodiversity of Pinewoods Camp.

You still have time to enter observations you made at Pinewoods from August 27th through September 2nd, so once you catch up on your sleep and your laundry, it would be great if you could upload anything you haven't gotten to yet.

We will officially close the project on Friday, September 9th so we can provide a summary report to Heather and Joy. The sooner you get all of your observations posted, the more likely they will be identified to the Research Grade level by the 9th. Any identifications that are made after that will be recorded in the project but not included in the report.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please email me at suzanne@smrozak.com.

Thanks!
Suzanne
