Featured Observation: Western pondhawk
This week's feature is a western pondhawk, photographed and logged by iNaturalist user @richardyank in British Columbia.
Western pondhawks, like other members of the pondhawk family, are voracious predators, that prey on small dragonflies and damselflies, and in their more southern ranges, they are known to predate on western malaria mosquitos.

Observation en vedette: Erythemis collocata
L'observation en vedette de cette semaine est un Erythemis collocata photographié et enregistré par l'utilisateur d'iNaturalist @richardyank en Colombie Britannique.
Les Erythemis collocata, comme les autres membres de la famille des Erythemis, sont des prédateurs voraces qui s'attaquent aux petites libellules et demoiselles. Dans leurs aires de répartition plus méridionales, on sait qu'ils s'attaquent aux maringouins de la paludisme de l'Ouest.
