Changes to Oregon rare plant, fungi, and lichen lists

Hello fellow iNaturalists,

The Oregon Biodiversity Information Center has recently updated its rare species lists for vascular and non-vascular plants, fungi, and lichen. Several species were added and a few were dropped (due to taxonomic issues, being too common, mis-IDs, etc).

Full details on changes made and the updated lists are available on our website at our Rare Species of Oregon Publications page. From that page, lists are available in PDF and Excel formats. Species considered and a summary of comments and final decisions is available as an Excel spreadsheet.

Animal reviews are still underway and will be posted to that same page when ready. At that time we will also publish our full Rare, Threatened, and Endangered Species of Oregon 2023 publication in PDF format, incorporating all updated lists and other information.
