I have seen rakali before at this spot - near a little footbridge over a wet vegetated gully - but this is the first time I was able to get a couple of photos.

Seen in a small grove of trees on the north side of Burnie Brae Park, Wavell Heights. Last year I saw them frequently around this time in another similar grove adjacent to the east, but this year so far I've hardly seen them at all; this is the first sighting for months.

I saw this Kookaburra looking out of its nest-hole in a big termitarium in a tree within the one patch of remnant or regrowth bushland in Bradbury Park, Kedron (north of the Lutwyche Cemetery), on 4th October 2019. I have seen kookaburras nesting in this area in previous years.
