Really gorgeous little stand of Canyon Live Oaks on a spur trail near the top of Brushy Peaks. Worth the extra 1/8 of a mile to see (not to mention the view!)

Absolutely huge madrone - this tree made my day! Pictures don’t do it justice. Highly recommend a visit to this tree if you’re in the area.

There were two, nearly identical lizards but only got photos of this one. Both about 2 inches from nose to end of tail, seemed small relative to other Phrynosoma

About 5 miles across the border into Nevada, off of Buckhorn Road. Nice population out here but many of the flowers appear to have been grazed, this was one of the only plants with a flower.
