These Bluebonnets are on the city street median in front of the house where I grew up. They were planted by my late father years ago, and they still come up every year.

The first hummingbird nest I have found. She was working hard on her nest, returning time after time with white fluffy material to line the nest. At least some of the lining was some kind of seeds.
