We ( @nsferguson and I) found this to our surprise. We didn’t expect to find this where we did as we have not seen any posted on iNat in this area. We have since read from Orchids of Bruce & Grey that it can be “found in one pine plantation on the Bruce Peninsula. There is a possibility that it was introduced with Pine seedlings from the provincial tree nursery at St. Williams in Norfolk County”. Maybe this is the one location. ? Maybe this location is common knowledge that we were not aware of. We counted 19 plants in a small area. There are likely more but we were running out of daylight to do a proper inventory. Majority of the plants had gone to seed but there were several still in bloom. Middle of Oct seems late; the last ones we have seen in bloom to the south were on Labour Day weekend.
