I took this shot in Barrow, Alaska, in 2012...I know this vehicle is for you...has your name all over it. It would attract attention on the streets of San Francisco I suspect. Rest in peace, Chicken Nugget. I normally don’t get attached to wild birds I see for obvious reasons but Chicken Nugget was a special duck to me and my boyfriend. We both watched him hatch and grow over the span of 2023. He was special because he had a little notch in his foot which we identified him by. He also was the only chick of his clutch of 7 to survive into an immature duck. He was found dead by the side of the road at USF on Saturday, Jan 20th. Presumably he died after being hit by a car. I know these ducks are invasive, but they don’t know that. He was a kind bird and always incredibly curious. We’ll miss you dearly Chicken Nugget ❤️

The creature appears to be a black-colored bird that appears to be approximately 20 inches tall. The creature appears avian and also appears to have a sharp beak and also sharp claws. The bird notably has a short wedged-shaped black tail and sharp beaks. It appears to be quite observant and intelligent for it observes the environment from the tree it appears to be resting on and also collaborates with another of its kind.
Note that I am observing the bird standing further from the trunk of the tree and not the other bird standing closer to the trunk of the tree.
