Found dead, likely due to cold shock

On Pelee Island, Ontario

Was seen trudging through the bush at the Wilmot Creek Nature reserve. There is unfortunate presence of litter just behind the turtle which was cleaned up after it moved on.

I believe this is a Canadian Toad, but I’m not positive. Lots on the beaches here.

Individual had abrasions on its ventral scales that indicated snake fungal disease infection. I couldn’t manage to get a picture of the abrasion unfortunately.

DOA in romaine lettuce from grocery store.

Saw unidentifiable frogs and salamanders dead on the road. The road should be shut during spring and summer migrations where amphibian activity is at its peak.

Flew into woman's house causing great anxiety. I hand caught it and released her into the wild (the dasher, not the woman)

I saw at least 5 during my trip including this one that was out during the day.

several hundred 'larval wilts' on Ptelea trifoliata on both sides road east of intersection for roughly 100 m.
