A solo visit (sort of ...); an unsuccessful chase of the Yellow-rumped Cacique that was found and photographed here yesterday and possibly photographed this morning. I walked the eastern half of the boardwalk back and forth until encountering the ex-as-of-yesterday, at which time we spent 1.5 hours avoiding each other; talk about awkward. The weather at the start was sunny and 90 degrees (feels like" 94), with a light breeze. I left at 1733 to get home at a reasonable hour (by 2200).
