Major Mitchell Cockatoo (Cacatua leadbeateri)
Around 7cm long. At night time. Thin stripes along the body. Looks like a type of worm.
Idiomatta male ( silver back )
Brush footed spider.
Found on the ground (on the photographed stick). They are excreting a strong eucalypt smelling liquid from their mouths.
They remain incredibly still (no movement over hours except for their mouths). The next day they had moved about on the branch, but had not relocated.
The liquid seems to be drying into a hard substance on their feet, I wonder if this is gluing them down.
Scorpion, a fairly big one at Alligator Gorge near Melrose. It was under a rock.
This guy slithered out from under the dirt.
Moved like a snake, but had legs.
app. 20cm with tail, found in tambark caught by cat. town backyard
