On a branch of a Tulip Poplar, Liriodendron tulipifera.
On the lower left, accompanied by Maronea constans (I will return for a better photo for a separate observation).
Found dead and being eaten by fire ants.
Inside a fenced-in area of woodland, so not subject to the browsing of deer. [Regrettably, in the unenclosed areas, even the steep bank of the stream is browsed to perdition.]
"Chip" call. With mockingbird in the background.
