Feral - escaped - though not captive/cultivated per se. It is living on private property (Mexican Consulate General). Security requested that I post 'no visitors please.' Previously reported on South Bay Birds yahoo group.
Spotted this juvenile on the bluff just above me.
Additional information: the log that the bird is on is 8 inches in diameter. That would indicate that it is a Sharp-shinned Hawk, not a Cooper's Hawk. A Cooper's Hawk would be roughly twice the size of the log.
3rd ever sighting of a snowy owl in Florida. It was located in Little Talbot island (beach).
