The Hawthorne Crossing Conservation Area is managed by the Campbell County Conservation District (KY), is currently undeveloped (no trails) and so not open to the public, but I was allowed to take a peek to check for interesting plants.
Not long after you enter the property, the main road passes between the stone foundations of two large buildings -- perhaps an old house and a barn? This large sedge was in the shaded meadow between a small pond and the building site. I saw several different species of Carex scattered around in the weedy meadows and roadside fields on the site, but this was the only clump of this species that I noticed. This impressive sedge is relatively common around northern Kentucky wetlands.
also looks like Leatherwood, not rlly sure
