An Otter came up on the road near a water channel, stopped, then turned around and returned to the water. I got a photo of it's head above water from the back, but it wasn't really recognizable. Our first wild Otter siting.

We saw our first Bobcat at Aransas Wildlife Refuge. It was using the pedestrian crossing near the entry gate. We were leaving and I had just put my camera away. It sauntered across the road as relaxed as could be, gave us a glance, and disappeared into the brush. It was close enough to see the short tail and tufted ears. Made my day.

First time we have spotted a Red-Breasted Nuthatch on our property. At the feeder. Slaughter Creek Acres, Austin, TX. I didn't have time to get my camera.

We saw dozens of Bluebirds in the park. I have never seen so many in one place. Sadly, I was not able to get a photo, they moved too fast to focus in time.
