I walked for about an hour in the Pine Tree Reservoir and Chestnut Hill Reservoir yesterday evening. The sunset was gorgeous, and the temperature was very comfortable. The sky seems a little cloudy at the end, forecasting a possible rain tomorrow. There are many people exercising alone the trial, but I hardly notice the existence of insects. I walked mostly in woods where I discovered various kinds of the fungi. The trail in the Pine tree Reservoir is narrow and clean, which makes the fungi conspicuous. I like my second Naturalist walk, starting from a familiar place on campus and extend beyond. Those diverse observations greatly inspired me.

I walked for about an hour in the Pine Tree Preserve after lunch. The weather was gorgeous, and the temperature was friendly. I walked mostly in the shades, but I couldn't notice the existence of insects. The trail is narrow.

The theme for this walk is plants, so I targeted several groups along my way. I had a hard time discovering Bryophyta, nonvascular plants, because the environment has been dry. The sun often penetrates through the leaves. While I was frustrated by the first category on a bench, I saw a type of fern thriving right next to me. Ferns are Polypodiopsida, seedless vascular plants. The rest of my time focused on the other two categories: Gymnospermsnon, non-flowering seed plants and Angiosperms, flowering plants. I recorded those beautiful colors using my phone along my journey.

I like my third Naturalist walk in the Pine Tree Preserve, returning back to a familiar place on campus. The area looks much different than my first time here. It perfectly demonstrated how seasons and different temperature affect ecosystem over time. Those fabulous observations greatly inspired me.
