This two day, all life survey sampled plants, insects and birds observed on the abandoned golf course portion of the arboretum property. This wasn’t a comprehensive survey, rather a small sampling. The first observation period began at 4:01 pm, Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Observations were recorded for 1 hour, 22 minutes. The second observation period began at 4:22 pm, Thursday, October 7, 2021. Observations were recorded for 1 hour, 32 minutes. Non-comprehensive sampling of fall pollinators and other insects located in John’s flower garden. First observation, Saturday afternoon, October 9, 2021. Second observation, Sunday afternoon, October 10, 2021. By far, the bees were the dominant pollinator. Coming in a distant second were butterflies, predominantly skippers.
