Pretty much all kinds of lifeforms in all kinds of habitats interest me a lot. My work makes me spend a huge portion of my time near or at sea, and consequently, most of my contributions here on iNat are about intertidal biodiversity.

I am involved in a citizen-driven intertidal biodiversity project in Mumbai, India (https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/marine-life-of-mumbai), and am also exploring the seashores further down the same coastline in Goa, with a mix of biologists and enthusiasts (https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/marine-life-of-goa).

By day, I am a cross-disciplinary marine researcher, and my work involves a lot of cetaceans (whales, dolphins & porpoises), fisheries (the ecology, history and economics of it), and coastal fishing communities (mainly traditional ecological knowledge and community science), and I help with a bit of reef ecosystem monitoring (although I'm not an expert on reef creatures.)
