I've just retired after 30 years of teaching, so I finally have time to breathe and observe! Our back yard is a native plant, drought-resistant wildscape, thanks to my husband, so we get all kinds of birds, critters and insects. Over the past several years, I've been fascinated how Western Honey Bees have "taken over" our bird baths. This year, we also have had Mexican Honey Wasps visit. I hope to document all he wildlife and plants we have in our back yard, which is a little slice of paradise in the middle of an urban setting.
