I am a systematic plant anatomist. I currently work as a Full Time Researcher at the Institute of Biology of UNAM, based in Mexico City, as an Associate Professor and Head of the National Herbarium of Mexico (MEXU) and its associated Wood Collection. I am also a Research Associate at the Natural History Museum of the Smithsonian Institution Botany Department. I am passionate about scientific collections and I'm always on the quest to new plant to enrich or National Herbarium of Mexico and its associate collections.
