I’m fascinated by the physics behind insect adaptations —Think anti-reflective eyes, antimicrobial wings, hydrophobic cuticles, light/heat/vibration sensing, structural coloration and so on. I also just enjoy learning fun facts about insects and other arthropods!

Currently, documenting all the SF Bay Area insect encounters I can! Hoping this platform can help improve my ID skills. Future goal is to put interdisciplinary background to work researching insect biomechanics —B.S. physics & biology (PITT); M.S. mechanical engineering (Case Western)
