Thank you for participating in this wonderful BioBlitz. It was our first BioBlitz at Hellyer Park, and it was awesome. With over 1,200 observations, we documented 220 species! 116 of the species are plants, many of them are non-native species, that might have some negative impact on their environment. Many others are native species, that support many of our native insects that provide food for lizards and birds. We also documented the invasive American Bullfrog and the Red-eared Slider in the pond.
We hope you'll join us on our future events - follow Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful to find more info!
