iNaturalist in times of lockdown

As the state of Victoria goes in to Stage 4 lockdown, hindering the ability to go to my usual observation spots, iNaturalist definitely helps in curing my aching need to get out into the field.
With these restrictions not easing any time soon, iNat will continue to make lockdown that little bit less tedious — though I still find myself pondering about all the beaches I'd love to revisit.

I really appreciate the way iNaturalist allows me to virtually travel to see other folk's detailed photos of the natural world -- it is such a treat. Hope you are able to see the beautiful beaches of my namesake (Victoria) soon. In California some of our beaches remain open but so crowded -- such strange times, thankful for iNaturalist too

I feel for Victorians. Here in NZ, even in level 4, I could still bike to a local beach.

Hopefully it'll be over soon and we can see your posting again of your beach finds.
