Day of Delights in Dereel

On 7th August, 2022, @enfieldservices led members of the Field Naturalists Club of Ballarat on an orchid hunt at a couple of sites in Dereel.

Attendees were delighted by finds of many species of orchids, as well as lots of interesting fungi, a jacky dragon and a mob of kangaroos. The most amazing sight of the day was an agile antechinus that ran down a tree then speedily hopped to a hiding place where Carol managed to photograph it before it took off again.
