Port Townsend Marine Science Center Bioblitz

Here's something you might like to know about. The Port Townsend Marine Science Center is sponsoring a bioblitz. Following is the text I copied from their project. ~ Kurt

Join us to Celebrate Citizen Science Day, Saturday, April 14th with an iNaturalist Bioblitz to catalogue all the living species we can find around the Port Townsend Marine Science Center at Fort Worden State Park in a day.

People of all ages and skill levels are welcome! Please download the iNaturalist app and create an account before arriving. Observations can be made during the event with a smart phone, or use a camera and upload your photos afterward.

Event schedule
9 am: Meet at the PTMSC Natural History Exhibit. We’ll make sure everyone’s set up with iNaturalist and ready to blitz.
9:30 am – 12 pm: We’ll split into groups and head outside to make observations.
12:15 pm – 1 pm: Wrap party! Come back together, help each other make IDs, find out how many observations we made, celebrate! (You can continue to make observations on your own and contribute to the project for the rest of the day!)
