VIECHEC (A.) & HADDAD (K.) - Première observation d'une Fauvette de Moltoni Sylvia subalpina en Algérie. 4355, p.346-347., Alauda, volume 87 (4) 2019
Between 7 and 14 April 2019, more than 10 individuals (males and females) of the Moltoni’s Warbler Sylvia
subalpina were recorded at El Borma (near the border with Tunisia) in the region of Ouargla (Saharan Algeria). This is the first documented record of this newly described species in Algeria where its status remains to be precised.

First documented record of Rüppell’s Warbler Sylvia ruppeli for Algeria. on 8 December 2018, a male of Ruppell's Warbler Sylvia ruppeli was photographed at Djanet south-estern Algeria.This is the first documented record of this species in Algeria and the whole of Maghreb where the species is a very irregular migrant and accidental winter visitor
