Four Parks Need You!

Our BioBlitz volunteers are doing a great job with 40 pollinator-related observations at just about the half-way point of the September event!

However, we have four parks that have 0 observations though, so we're encouraging our Citizen Scientists to get out to Blue Spring, Fasick, Grays Woods, and Spring Creek!

Blue Spring Park has a great little environmental area along the creek towards the rear of the park; there should be some pollinator plantings in that location. Eugene Fasick Park also has a connector trail between the front portion of the park and the rear portion, and it's along Spring Creek. There should be some activity there. Grays Woods is a new park with a new playground and some trails open. We're trying to get some baseline info. for this park, especially along the trail system. And Spring Creek Park should have some activity on the opposite side of the main park (cross at the covered bridge). The should be some pollinator plants on that side within the meadow along the creek and following the trail toward the "Walker Tract" side of the park. Check out the maps included in the Project Info.!

Thanks everyone! Keep up the GREAT WORK!
